This blog is a home for Media Innovation graduate students in journalism at Northeastern University to share and discuss inventive new examples of digital storytelling. This is your place to share, swap, discuss and critique the most compelling things you are seeing online today – from big investigative data-driven stories to quirky new fonts, experiments in animation in video and whatever else might come across the screen that grabs you and makes you want to learn how to do it yourself. So let’s get started so we can all become masters of telling the new story.
The new Media Innovation track is aimed at mid-career journalists or those with undergraduate journalism degrees who seek a hands-on digital media learning experience. In the new track students choose a concentration in fields like data, game design, video for the web or data visualization and study those topics in depth with top Northeastern faculty. Students apply those tools in the reporting and producing of a major project to be published with one of our media partners.
